Jesus loves you! It's no accident that you're here. God wants to have a personal relationship with you, but sin separates you from Him.
People like to divide themselves into groups - good people and bad people. But God says that every person that has ever lived is a sinner, and any sin separates us from God. That includes you and me.
We All Sin. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. All people sin; you, me, and everyone. No one is fit to be near God.
Sin Results In Punishment, And That Punishment Is Death. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
Did you catch that last part? We don't deserve anything more than death, but God sent Jesus as a gift to us, to help us achieve eternal life with God. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Titus 3:5.
Jesus told the parable of the rich ruler who wanted to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but wouldn't let go the things of this life: "And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:17-27
That's right -- it is possible with God: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:12-13. You can be reborn as a Child of the Living God because it is His will!
Salvation is your Gift! "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9. There's nothing you (or I) can do to attain salvation except have faith in Jesus.
We have this promise: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13.
Paul assured us "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9
In the Book of Revelation, Christ told the churches which had strayed to repent; then He said, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20. Jesus Christ wants to have a personal relationship with you. Jesus stands at the door to your heart and knocks on it. Will you turn Him away?
Jesus paid for our sins by giving His life on Calvary's cross. God brought Jesus back from the dead and paved the way for you to have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus.
Accept the gift that Jesus is offering you right now. Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and say "Jesus is Lord," and you can live forever with Him in glory. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Are you ready to accept the gift of everlasting life that Jesus offers you right now? If you really want to ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart through the Sinner's Prayer:
|
Sinner's Prayer Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. I know you are the Creator along with your Son Jesus who is co-equal with you and the Holy Spirit. I believe Christ died, shedding his blood to cleanse my sin, and then He rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I trust You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit that is coming to dwell in me now. I know all Your ways are righteous, and that You have a wonderful plan for my life. I want a relationship with you. Please help me be the Christian you want me to be. I will serve, honor and obey you. Thank you for becoming my Lord and my Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen. |
